Acclaimed quintet to play in Clitheroe Clitheroe Concerts Society meets next; . ' -;
Wednesday, March 5th, when the Cataleya ; Quintet will play woodwind music by Ibert, Nielson, Danzi and Poulenc. The quintet was formed in20iiatthe Royal College of Music by five masters students, all
described as “outstanding RCMmusicians”. The players have diverse backgrounds. com-

° ? e of them the' Clitheroe concert is some- thingofahomecoming. Bassoonist Sophie Robertson was born in this area and received her early musical
training from Joan Hall, a committee mem- " ber of Clitheroe Concerts Society.'

ously playe d with the Lancashire Youth Sym phony Orchestra.
The concert will take place in Clitheroe Roy al Grammar School Sixth Form Centre, in
