School’s top performance gives head a special invitation to take tea with Prince
A LOCAL school’s performance has resulted in the head teacher being invited to Ilighgrove to meet Prince Charles. Ms Glynne Ward has been invit
ed to represent Ribblesdale High School Technology College at the Prince’s home on July 21st. Along with other head teachers she will tour the house and gardens, take tea and speak with the Prince. The college received high marks
in the Government’s OFSTED report which covers school perfor mance over the previous 12 months.

THE strawberry and cream tea afternoon organised by the Ciitheroe Bible Society Action Group proved to be successful. Held at the United Reformed Church,
Ciitheroe, the afternoon raised £337 for the work of the National Bible Society, which includes translating the Bible into other languages and distributing copies across the world. A number of visitors to the town mingled with local people and said they were looking forward to enjoying cream teas before journeying home.
