Probe gets underway after


accident


AN internal investigation was underway this week into the cause of a kiln accident, which left a worker with a double frac­ ture to the foot, at Castle Cement, Clitheroe.


Terence Fielding (45), of Kenilworth Drive, Clith­ eroe, was inside the kiln with a team of other work­ ers when the accident hap­ pened on Sunday evening.

Peter del Strother said tha t Mr Fielding was removing some bricks from the inside of the 150 metre by 4 metre kiln, when a brick fell on him, breaking two bones in his foot.

Following the incident,
