with the show, putting together a number of events and stands to ensure that this year’s event surpasses that of 1990 for choice and quality. Under the guid ance of tourism officer Mr Keith Taylor, the council’s involvement features face-painting from Face Pack, a high-quality and prestigious group, and a kite workshop. Other borough council
initiatives include a gypsy caravan, which can he hired out for holidays, and an extensive display of wild flower seeds, which will all he available for sale. Moving away from the
working displays, the organisers recognise that a varied show makes for enjoyment and an extensive network of
trade and craft stands will also be set up. From farming
equipment, machinery and feedstuffs to handicrafts, dried flowers and home-made fudge, the trade stands will feature goods and products from all walks of rural life. With so much going on

and so much to see and do, making an extensive tour of the show will be both hungry and thirsty work. However, there is no need to bring a packed lunch, as the show boasts a full catering service, ensuring that the public is constantly supplied with refreshments. Another plus is the
