RIBBLESDALE School’s fifth year had a comfortable 7-0 win to go through to the semi-final of the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Football Cup and are hoping to go all the way this year. The second years, however,


lost 3-0, with Matthew Hart outstanding in the nets. Four friendly fixtures turned


out to be very close affairs. The first years were leading 2-1 with five minutes to go, when two defensive blunders gave the game to Iv y Bank 3-2. Mark Hargreaves and Justin Water- house were not only the pick of the players, but also scored the goals. The second years played with


real courage and determination to record a 2-2 draw against a big, strong Ivy Bank side. Ste­ vie Komy scored both goals and Matthew Hart, Sean Thompson and Adam Lawson also played well. Despite playing some of their
