and helpless. But Peter Clarke had been on a Red Cross
First Aid course. He knew exactly what to do. Within moments he had pulled Noel from the water. Noel had stopped breathing with just minutes
left to live, but Peter didn’t panic. He began to revive him. Within seconds Noel was breathing again, and after just a tew minutes he had regained consciousness. Every year our dedicated volunteers resDond to hundreds of emergencies and save many lives.
And training people in First Aid is just one of the ways the Red Cross is helping people in Britain. All over the country we provide comfort and support to those who need us, including frail, elderly and disabled people. That is why we have launched Red Cross
Week - to tell people in Britain about our work, and to ask for your support. Please help make sure the Red Cross will
