1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT HAS MADE an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A59 Samlesbury-Skipton Trunk Road, East of Gisburn


2. THE EFFECT OF THE ORDER will be to impose a mandatory 40 mph speed limited on the A59 Trunk Road between Monk Bridge and Bentha Hill whilst road improvements are carried out.

3. THE ORDER WILL BE IN FORCE Irom 8 a.m. on Monday 15 October, 1990 and will remain effective until the work Is complete (approximately 15 Months).


4. The speed limit Is considered essential for road safety reasons and will be Indicated by traffic signs.
