NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle from proceeding over that length of the C549, Clitheroe Road, Whalley, in the Borough of Ribble VailBy from its junction with Hayhurst Road to B6246 Station Road a distance of 180 metres.


The temporary closure is necessary to enable the Con­ struction of a surface Water Sewer for a development at


Curzon Lodge.


The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be as follows:-


Tum right at the King Street/B6246 Accrington Road Junc­ tion, then left onto the A671 Whalley Easterly By-pass, right onto the A59 Trunk Road at Bramley Mead round­ about, and left again onto the A671 Whalley Road/Clitheroe Road at Barrow Link and vice versa. Station Road, Whalley and all Whalley/Mitton traffic will be unaffected.
