Tribute Waddington Leisure
Club organiser Mrs Joan Parkinson paid tribute at the meeting to Miss Annie Boothman, whose recent death was a sad loss to
the club. Miss Boothman had
been a regular attender of the club lunches and her gentle ways would be greatly missed. The Rev. Elaine Halls,
Methodist Minister for Whalley, Waddington and West Bradford, was a guest, entertaining mem bers with slides and amus ing anecdotes of her holi
day in Egypt. Mrs Parkinson pre
sented Mrs Halls with a pot plant and said how much the members appre- j dated the kindness of the chapel committee, adding that she felt the happy atmosphere had contri buted towards the club’s success.
