(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER, 1987


(QUEENSWAY, CLITHEROE, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH)


LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be:


1. To suspend “The Lancashire County Council (Various


Streets, Clitheroe)'(One-Way) Order 1966, only insofar as it relates to Lowergate, Clitheroe, for the period of this Order.


2. To prohibit any motor vehicle from proceeding along that length of Queensway, at Clitheroe, from whalley Road to Queens Road, a distance of approximately 130 metres.


The'temporary closure is necessary to construct the Clitheroe Sewer Renewal Phase II.


The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be as follows:


Via Turner Street, Queens Road, Queensway Highfield Road and Lowergate and vise versa.


Access to properties will be maintained at all times throughout the closure.


The Order will be operative from Monday, the 13th July to Monday, the 17th August, 1987, inclusive.

(Dyecasting.and Injection moulding) THOMAS ASWORTH & CO LTD


(A wholly owned subsidiary of Sycamore Holdings pic) Manufacture a wide range of aluminium pressure and gravity dyecasting.


There is also Mitchell Plastics a division which manufactures injection mouldings.


A substantial proportion of the foundry production is for Ashworth leisure reproduction patio and garden furniture whilst the remainder is for a diverse spread of industrial customers.


A small section within Thomas Ashworth also manufactures an industrial moisture meter which is sold on a world wide basis.


A manufacturing manager is required to motivate, plan, lead and control all manufacturing and associated areas.


Reporting to the manufacturing director the suc cessful candidate must be able to organise and communicate effectively at all levels and should have both technical expertise and practical experience of either dyecasting or injection moulding, together with work study and methods in a light or medium engineering environment. A formal engineering qualification to H.N.C level is desirable.


The prospects for promotion to director level are excellent for the right candidate who will join a rapidly expanding company.


The salary and conditions of employment will reflect the importance of the appointment.
