Driving ban on plumber

A MAN who had been drinking on an empty stomach at a charity func

tion was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £150 by Clitheroe Magistrates for driving a

car with excess alcohol in bis breath.

The court was told that

David Moore (45). of Pim lico Koad. Clitheroe. was stopped by police officers on Clitheroe Koad, West Bradford. A subsequent test showed he had 04 micrograms of alcohol in

100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35 microg rams.

Mr Bill Greenwood, de fending. said that Moore was returning from the function in Waddington where he had been drink ing on an empty stomach.

He bitterly regretted

the incident and would be greatly inconvenienced by the ban as he travelled around the country in con nection with his business as a plumber and heating engineer.
