Crossing decision criticised


A DECISION' by the County Surveyor not to provide a pedestrian cros­ sing at the ’ junction of Peel Street and Highfield Road has been criticised by Coun. Eric Bracewell (Clitheroe). The plea for a crossing


was turned down because there was not enough


pedestrian movement to justify one. V But, Clpun. Bracewell


told ,our‘reporter that he felt the road was very, busy, beingv used by school,, children and by many people, as a.short cut into towii.
