A QUARRYMAN at Bold Venture for 30 years, Mr Billy Mason, of Alma Place, Clitheroe, has died in hospital at the age of 82.
17 years, prized highly a gold watch which marked his long service with the company. He fought in the first

world war and was a member of the Royal British Legion and of the Ribble Valley Lodge, RAOB, for many years. At one period he and
his wife Priscilla had a f ru iterer ’s business in Bawdlands. In addition to his wife,
Mr Mason leaves a son and daughter. The funeral service will
be held this morning at St Paul’s Church, Low Moor, with which the family is associated. Interment will take place at Clitheroe Cemetery.
