Clitheroe Advertiser and Times, March 11th, 19S2 17 for Clitheroe Clitheroe 3, Wren Rovers 3
CLITHEROE fought back bravely after falling three goals behind in the first half-hour to earn a share of the points and keep alive their championship hopes.

AFTER tKeir shock exit from the Aitken Shield, West Brad ford regained their pride with a fine win over the Marsden Di vision leaders.
John Waddington’s speculative long shot was drifted in by the strong wind, but Ray Howard, the league’s leading scorer, quickly put the home side level.

West Bradford were well on

When Ray Howard made it

hopes of being championship contenders but the villagers
earned credit • for a spirited rearguard action against the odds.
