A GOAL in the 55th minute was sufficient, to give King’s Arms their third consecutive victory.

Chipping almost went

into the lead in the opening minutes with a well taken goal but the referee dis

DEBUT GOAL FOR DEAN

DESPITE intense opening pressure by Lions, in which the Whalley keeper turned a 40-yard shot by O Neill round the post, the villagers opened the scoring

As a result. Lions were spurred to. even greater ef forts which were rewarded when Campbell slotted

and early in the second half Dean fastened on to a Hol gate through ball to make it 3-1. This was Dean's debut and although he later missed an opportunity, his

goal was a just reward for effort.

Play became a little patchy and it was not until five

minutes from time that Lions emphasised their superority. Holgate was acaih the architect., this time with a pass to Dubow- ski who ran on and scored after holding off a challenge.
