DOWNHAM has lost one of its oldest residents by the death of Mrs Nancy Wilson, o f Main Street, and formerly of Brookside. Mrs


Wilson, who was 80, was the widow o f Mr William Wilson, a postman in the Downham, Gisburn and Chaigley areas for many vears She had lived in the village for 57 years and had been in failing health fo r some time.
