Whalley girl, who has spent the past three weeks seriously ill in a hospital in Salzburg, Austria, is now well enough t0 travel and her parents hope to fly home with her before next Wednesday.
The mystery illness which
confined Ann to bed has been diagnosed as hepatitis (inflammation of the ’iver).
She became ill while in
Austria with a party from her Ribblesdale County Second ary School, Clitheroe.
Her home is Abbotsmead,
Mitton Road. Mr. and Mrs. Day have
been with Ann since they were notified of her illness.
On Wednesday this week, Mr. Day telephoned a friend » who has been looking after
; Ann’s three brothers, to say $ that his daughter had been ■'*
■ cleared for travel by the doctors.
Mr. and Mrs. Day are now trying to get an early flight,
