agency part of the business had become the more impor­ tant, and the grocery business declined. Full-time tr a v e l offices


were established in Nelson, Accrington and Bury in 1954. More branches were


opened later in Skipton, Dewsbury and Farnworth, and an office was opened in Pudsey in 1965. In April 1968, the last of


the grocery branches was closed, and the whole of the business was concentrated on travel.
