She and her seven-and-a-half-montli-old baby daughter. Smsan Louise, were chosen from the eight
tinalists at the Civic Hall on Wednesday. Her prize was a £15 cheque. Second prize was won by Mrs. Rita Hall and her
14-monlh-old daughter. Joanne Mary, of Bleasdale .Avenue, Clitheroe. She received a cheque worth £10.

and Now Boutique, and Miss Vera Johnson, matron of Clitheroe Hospital.
The baby food products and feeding dishes were
presented to the mothers by the Mayoress of Clitheroe Mrs. S. F. Hardman.

of a two-and-half-year-old boy, Ian Granville. At the conclusion, Coun.
Richard Turner, chairman of the Civic Hall and Enierlainmcnis Committee
of Clitheroe Borough Council thanked the Adver tiser and Times for arrang ing the competition, and Mr. Bridge and his assi.s- tant. Miss Jean Fowles, for their work of organisation. The competition was
part of the week’s Castle Fete celebrations, and was run in conjunction with the Fete Committee, of which Coun. Turner is also chairman. Other guests who atten
ded the final were Mrs. Green, wife of the general manager; Mr. Gordon Smith, assistant general manager, and Mrs. Smith; and Mr. Neil Coates, editor of the Advertiser and Times.
