Grimsdyke (Leslie Phillips) for whom the physique of nurses is infinitely more worthy of study than the afflication of patients. Senior house sergeon Sir Lancelot Spratt (James Robertson Justice) is hell-bent on mak­ ing an honourable and useful physician out of Grimsdyke, but he overlooks his unique facility for getting i n t o trouble.
