About 130 members and friends enjoyed an excellent tea prepared and served by members of the committee. A birthday cake, made and given hv Mrs. S. E. Jones, was cut by Mr. J Ware- ingi a former chairman, and a birthday toast was pronos^ by I the Vicar, the Rev H. Townsend. Miss E. D. Back house and Mr. J. Robinson re-, sponded. Among the guests were Captain Stewart and Cadet Cross of the Church Army, who will shortly carry out mission work in the parish.
