A LMOST every section of Clitheroe’s life was represented in the Freedom Pageant on Saturday, and for the


majority of the 1,000 performers it was their first stage appearance. For a brief pctiod, schoolchildren, clerks, typists, weavers, electricians teachers, doctor, chemist, clergy and ministers donned costumes of past centuries to play their'short but vital! parts in the colourful portrayal of Clitheroe’s story.
