Whalley Methodist Choir gavfe a splendid entertainment at the Methodist School, on Wednesday evening. The proceedings iVere opened by the Rev. R: Holt, ahd Mr. E VeeVers presided. A' well varied programme opened with the i part songs, “The Goslings ” and “ All in the April Evening,” and later the choir rendered the items, “ My Pretty Maid ”, and “ Deep Harmony,” the latter number being particularly appreciated. Songs were well rendered by Miss L Stubbs and Mr. R.' Clark, and pleasing variety was pro vided by recitals given by Miss R. Stubbs. Three short, sketches, "Contrasts,’’ “ Waiting for the doctor ” and “ Choosing a hat,” were much
