Online Academy Launches With NORSOK D-010 Well Integrity Courses
A leading international energy consultancy, training and software provider has launched a new etraining academy with a series of online well integrity courses.
The new online courses from the Add Energy Academy focus on developing skills to design, operate and manage the integrity of onshore and offshore oil and gas, carbon capture, and geothermal wells. They bring together some of the very best learning resources available, beginning with NORSOK D-010 well integrity training delivered by the company’s Chief Technical Officer and co-author of the world-class NORSOK D-010 well integrity standard, Terje Løkke-Sørensen.
The sessions cover well integrity principles from the well construction process, production, and well servicing operations, through to blowout contingency planning and operational shutdown criteria, and aim to minimize exposure to risk by enhancing team competence, ensuring compliance with a world-class standard, and maintaining safe operations. Learning is enhanced through real-life accounts, problem solving tasks and is verified through examination.
Strong demand is also anticipated in the renewable energy sector as companies seek to sharpen their knowledge around the use of well integrity assessments to decide if existing wells can be used for CO₂ injection and storage, or converted to geothermal wells.
