TIME SOUND AND LIGHT SHOW BY LUXMURALIS Hereford Cathedral - 20-24 January 6.40pm – 9.00pm

Hereford Cathedral is preparing to take a step back through time as Luxmuralis return with another spectacular light and sound show for 2026.

Following on from the sell-out success of Space in 2024, which saw over seven thousand people visit the cathedral over four nights, the cathedral is delighted that they will be hosting Time this January. The light show will transform the interior of Hereford Cathedral and invite visitors to embark upon an extraordinary exploration of the concept of time as they journey through history, science and imagination.

The show, created by award-winning artistic collaboration Luxmuralis, made up of Peter Walker (sculptor) and David Harper (composer), features a host of immersive projected artworks. Attendees will traverse wormholes, venture inside the workings of clocks, and experience a dramatic narrative that spans from the present day back to the very beginning of everything.

Tickets £9 for adults, £6 for children (4 – 16) and free tickets for children aged 3 and under. Pre-booking essential via online www.herefordcathedral.org/News/time

HEREFORDSHIRE WASSAILING EVENTS Countywide throughout January

Join in this seasonal raucous rural tradition that blesses the cider orchards for an abundant coming year’s harvest in the UK’s largest cider producing county. Gather with your woollies and wellies for this family friendly occasion that includes singing, banging of drums, torchlight parades and bonfires. Plus of course plenty of mulled cider and much merriment, often led by a Morris dance troupe and ending in a pub. Hoist the Wassail king and queen to anoint the biggest apple tree and ward off the evil spirits, as you sing traditional wassailing songs. It really is a sight to behold.
