Novaerus Clean Air In Confined Spaces! Surely Not!? ‘NanoStrike’ Technology Should Be Your First Line of Defence Against Airborne Viruses and Bacteria.
The ‘Elevatair’ devices currently being installed by DWS Group, one of the world’s leading asset managers, are Novaerus Protect NV 200 and NV 800 tested and proven, medical grade units in specially designed housings, affixed to the interior walls of elevator cabins. Powered directly through the lift cars’ electricity supply, they operate continuously with NO harmful emissions and NO UV light or filters, eradicating ALL airborne viruses and bacteria. Safely, effectively and constantly.
In these often very small, poorly ventilated and confined spaces, aerosols can remain suspended for exceedingly long periods of time. The spread of airborne pathogens throughout a large building via the elevator system, can rapidly reach every floor, resulting in staff and visitor sickness or further contagion. Cleaning buildings requires a many pronged approach and with the growing realisation that the spread of airborne viruses will not only just ‘go away’ but can mutate to become more transmissible, it is imperative that in addition to surfaces, we clean the air we breathe and share indoors.
As enlightened companies such as DWS appreciate, closing the infection control loop within business premises leads directly to enhanced productivity, reduced absenteeism and peace of mind knowing that all possible measures have been taken to protect us all.
...And now for the results behind the science...
Professor Daniel Bonn, Director of the Van der Waals-Zeeman Institute of Physics at the University of Amsterdam described his conclusions from undertaking a study of the air quality in elevators via aerosol particles.
“We tested an ElevatAIR NV800AZ+ air sterilisation device from Novaerus (Ireland Ltd), part of the Wellair Group, that should efficiently destroy the aerosols. The question we ask is to what extent the persistennce time of aerosols is influenced by the system.
“We measured the persistence of aerosols to assess the efficiency of an ultra-low plasma, air sterilisation device in an elevator car. Direct measurement of aerosol concentrations is done with a portable particulate meter. The conclusion is that the air sterilisation system works well. Artifically generated aerosols remain in the elevator car for a long time with the normal ventilation system of the elevator. The characterisic time for a decrease of 80% of the amount of aerosols (a reasonably safe level) is more than 11 minutes.
“The characteristic time for the aerosols to decrease is 149 seconds in the cabin with the air sterilisation device, leading to a 80% decrease in time of less than 4 minutes, an improvement of almost a factor of three. This is significantly shorter than in previously tested elevators in operation, where aerosols linger for many minutes. The ultra low- power plasma air sterilisation system therefore reduces the risk of Corona contamination from aerosols.”
