A Handy Guide To Our New Plant Sizes For 2021 P

Unsure which plant size you need for your garden?

For 2021, we have ten different plant and bulb sizes and have introduced NEW garden ready plugs.

Our handy guide will help you to find out which plug plant is best for your needs to make sure you get the most out of your plants.

Seedlings

These are grown in seed trays with a solid plug of compost, which some of our onions, brassicas and ornamental plants come in. They will be ready to ‘pot on’ into larger pots when you receive them.

Super Seedlings

Grown in seed trays with a solid plug of compost they are bigger and more established than the smaller seedlings. Ready to ‘pot on’ when you receive them.

Delivery Dates

We will do everything possible to send plants out to you on dates specified. However, some factors outside of our control, such as weather, may affect plant growth and therefore dates. See marshallsgarden.com for up to date information.

Super Plugs

This larger size has better root development and establishes quicker and stronger. Available in selected bedding and vegetable plants.

Large Potted Plants

We offer a wide range of 2L to 20L larger, more mature plants ready to be planted out into the garden any time of year.

A Garden Ready Plugs

These are our largest plug size and new for 2021. More mature plugs with vigorous root systems ready to plant out into their final position.

9cm Potted Plants

The smallest of our potted plant ranges which offer great value for money across selected ornamental and vegetable plant ranges. Suitable for planting out immediately.

Bareroot Plants

These will arrive dry so need soaking overnight before planting out. Having already grown a full season, the top growth dies down and stores its energy for next season.

Seed Potatoes

Specially selected and certified for health and quality. Potatoes are sold bagged by weight (usually 1kg or 1.5g) so the count may vary slightly.

Onions, Shallots & Garlic Sets

Onion sets are sold netted by weight (usually 250g) so the counts may vary slightly.

Bulbs, Tubers, Rhizomes & Corms

Top size, best quality, dormant plants that will arrive ready to be potted up or planted directly into the ground.
