ntroduced three decades ago, VAC Therapy utilises proprietary foam dressings, drapes and advanced technology to apply uniform negative pressure to the wound surface, helping to draw wound edges together, remove exudate and infectious material, and promote perfusion and granulation tissue development.
The evolution of VAC Therapy Over the years, VAC Therapy has evolved to include a collection of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) products that have been developed for use across the continuum of care that range from multi-modal devices to portable and disposable units. More recently, a new all-in- one dressing (3M VAC Peel and Place Dressing*) allows for up to seven days of continuous wear time. This dressing combines the advantages of NPWT with an integrated perforated, non-adherent layer to simplify application and improve wear time.
