SAMSuNG HEAvY INDuSTRIES oRDERS KRoLL HEAvY LIFT ToWER CRANE

South Korea headquartered ship builder Samsung Heavy Industries has ordered a new K10000 Super Heavy Lift Tower Crane from Kroll Cranes to replace the existing K10000 tower crane in its Geoje Shipyard. Delivery of the new crane is scheduled for Q4, 2024. According to Kroll, the crane will provide greater reach and lift capacity. The crane will have a small footprint, with a 18m wheelbase and 30.86m wheel centres, freeing traffic space and minimising ground area interference. The all electric driven K10000 can lift 150 tonnes in six falls at 0-6m/min and 0-72m/min under lighter loads. The crane is designed for sea and land transport and complies with F.E.M 1.001-HC1/A3/E3 and EN 14439:2009-C25 standards and bears the CE marking.
