ESEASA EXpANDS FLEET WITH SEvEN LIEBHERR CRANES
Mexican crane and heavy transport company ESEASA ordered five rough terrain cranes and two all-terrain cranes from Liebherr at Bauma. The rough terrain order includes three
new LRT 1130-2.1s and two LRT 1090- 2.1s; the all terrain order includes one LTM 1120-4.1 and one LTM 1250-5.1. The order follows one for five LRT 1090-2.1 and two LRT 1100- 2.1 rough terrain models in spring 2022. ESEASA plans to use its
new cranes primarily in the construction of new refineries. "We have been buying Liebherr cranes for a long time,” said Aldo Santos, operations director at ESEASA. “The units are sophisticated and retain their value very well. We appreciate the similar operating principle across all crane types. Liebherr's after- sales service is outstanding. That's why we decided to buy from Liebherr again. "We chose the LRT 1130-2.1
because it has enormously strong load- bearing capacities and can still be easily transported on public roads." The new LRT 1130-2.1 was one of the highlights on Liebherr’s stand at Bauma. The 130-tonne rough terrain crane was launched under the slogan ‘the toughest in the roughest’, with Liebherr claiming it offers high lifting capacities and the longest telescopic boom of any two-axle
all-terrain crane anywhere in the world. It also has the most economical transport dimensions in its performance class, Liebherr adds. "We chose the LRT 1130-2.1
because it has enormously strong load-bearing capacities and can still be easily transported on public roads," commented Santos.
When dimensioning the new LRT 1130-2.1, Liebherr focussed on economical mobility worldwide. Its width is 3.4 metres, its height 3.85 metres, and its chassis length 9.4 metres. The transport weight is 48 tonnes without counterweight, but with the folding jib and hook block. This can be reduced to 44.8 tonnes. These values are unique in the class of powerful two-axle rough terrain cranes, claims Liebherr. A permit-free standard

FIRST poTAIN LuFFERS IN EGYpT
Egyptian contractor Orascom Construction has purchased the country’s first two Potain MCR 295 luffing jib tower cranes from local dealer IDP. The cranes are being used by Orascom
to develop the Maspero Triangle district in downtown Cairo. The 75-acre area, by the River Nile, is already home to many important buildings including the Radio and Television Union Maspero building, the Foreign Ministry building, the Dar al-Maarif building, the Italian Consulate, and the Ramses Hilton Hotel. Space was limited so Orascom
Construction needed cranes that were not only reliable, consistent, and high performing but which could also work
efficiently on a confined job site, helping to meet delivery deadlines, Manitowoc said. The Potain MCR 295 has a 60 m jib length and load capacity of up to 16 t with near-vertical luffing capability. IDP and Potain erected the cranes with an initial 37 m height under hook and they will reach a final height under hook of 150 m. They will remain on site for approximately three years. The project, estimated at LE10 billion
(US$400 million), is part of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's development plan and aims to transform the area into a thriving hub for living, working, and relaxing.
