CONNECTING TWO HALVES


More than 200,000 vehicles cross the Westgate Freeway each day. Two gigantic EPB Shields (Ø15.5m) are creating a new chapter for Melbourne as they excavate 6km of tunnel to link the West Gate Freeway with the Port of Melbourne and CityLink. The new West Gate Tunnel will ease traffic for 5 million Melbourne citizens.
