G.W. Becker, Inc. is recognized for our design, engineering, and manufacturing of overhead crane products, runway systems, and components. We offer cranes for all overhead material handling needs and budgets. Although we may have been perceived as a custom crane manufacturer from complex projects commissioned in recent years, we believe it’s important to emphasize that our team can and does design, engineer, and manufacture all types of EOT cranes. GWBI has three different categories of cranes that we design and fabricate; Kit Cranes (also referred to as Packaged or Stick Cranes), Standard Cranes, and our G.W. Becker Custom Built-Up Cranes. All are designed and manufactured in our production facility in Hermitage, PA. Our team of Inside Sales Engineers, Regional Sales Managers, fully staffed Engineering department, material coordinators, and experienced Welders, Fabricators, and Production staff will walk each crane through the design, manufacturing, and installation so that the customers’ needs are met and maintained from start to finish. Empowered with highly trained and qualified technicians, G.W. Becker, Inc. provides self-performing installations, inspections, and field service repairs for all makes and models of overhead cranes; providing compliance with local regulations and ensuring a safe and productive material handling operation. We are also a distributor for a wide range of crane parts and components suppliers, allowing us to provide you with the right part and the flexibility of using a variety of brands. Kit Cranes are built for those who need a light- duty, economical option. Typical features include single girders – top-running and underhung up to 15 tons, double girders up to 40 tons, CMAA Class A-C and D for some applications, and limited speed, spans, and features. Our recent installation included a 5-ton, underrunning, single girder bridge crane with an electric wire rope hoist. This included a span of 48'-0", an available lift of 20'-0", and was designed and manufactured to CMAA Specification #74. Throughout our recent Kit Crane projects, it’s clear that there is different usage for each crane and no project is the same. Our team is committed to overhead lifting solutions and will work with any application you may need. There are many factors to consider when researching capital overhead material handling equipment investments and our team knows how critical it is to choose the right partner for the success of your material handling operations. G.W. Becker, Inc. is confident that we have the experience, knowledge, and dedication to become an extension of our customers’ management team in the area of Cranes/Overhead Material Handling Systems, by providing premium products and quality service.
