Luceco, in partnership with Mears Group and Solfex Energy Systems, completed eight extensive lighting refurbishments on sites throughout the London Area. Palace House is located near the ruins of Winchester Palace, once one of the largest and most important buildings in medieval London. At the forefront of Palace House the famous Golden Hinde can be found.
Both internal and external lighting were replaced. Externally, Sloane from Kingfisher, part of the Luceco group, was used to enhance the lit environment of this historical area, along with Guardian Pro illuminating the architectural features of Winchester Palace. Internally, Celeste, an attractive circular LED luminaire featuring a ‘corona’ backlight effect with a direct / indirect light distribution was used. The luminaire can be surface, wall mounted, or as at Palace House, suspended using a 3 point 1.5-meter suspension kit, creating an attractive pendant. Palace House has been maintained by Knight Frank with multiple tenants including Kaplan International College – London.
