USB Power Delivery
USB Power Delivery (USB-PD, or PD) is a fast charging technology supported by certain Apple, Android and other devices. PD delivers much higher levels of power than standard USB charging. To use USB-PD you will need a USB- PD enabled device, USB-C cable and USB-PD charger.
Benefits include more power, faster charging, and voltage adjustment, which enables fast charging without delivering too much power which could lead to damaged circuitry from overcharging or overheating.
Qualcomm Quick Charge
Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC) is a fast charging technology supported by popular smartphone manufacturers including Samsung, LG and Sony. QC delivers much higher levels of power than conventional USB charging with the same benefits as USB-PD. To use Qualcomm Quick Charge, you will need a QC enabled device, cable and charger.
