CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLiNA
A DYNAMIC APPROACH
TO GEN ED No other school does gen ed quite like Queens. At most universities, “general education” (or “gen ed”) refers to the basic liberal arts classes (like English, science, math, and history) that make up the first two years of college.
At Queens, our general education program is built around dynamic, topic- based courses that dig into big questions and current issues. You’ll explore subjects through the lens of real-world relevance — and you’ll do it in small, discussion- driven classes where your voice maters.
But we don’t stop there. Our gen ed courses are paired with out-of-the- classroom experiences like community engagement, service learning, cultural events, and hands-on research.
You won’t just be learning about the world. You’ll be interacting with it.
THE ACADEMIC HONORS
PROGRAM The Academic Honors Program is designed for Royals who want to push themselves to greater heights. Honors students engage in interdisciplinary seminars, receive direct mentorship, and build the skills to lead and make a difference.
