IRELAND'S PREMIER SOURCE OF TRAVEL INFORMATION

etterkenny-based Atlantic Travel were popular win- ners of the small agency award. .

AGENCY <10 ATLANTIC TRAVEL

What’s next for Atlantic Travel? The launch of our new website which will include a live search feed for Jet2 Holi- days. Belfast departures are currently really strong for us so this will continue to help us drive and grow our existing Belfast market share. In conjunction with the developer we have designed the functionality to view our Jet2 live pricing in sterling and in euro, I do not believe this is being done elsewhere at the moment.

We also decided to create a dedicated facebook page called Just|Cruise. This will allow our followers who are mostly interested in learning about cruise and the most recent offers to do so on a sep- arate platform from the Atlantic Travel page – it also means that our AT page will be more balanced in the content published, giving a broader range of destinations and holiday types to our followers.

Given the opportunity 2020 will see us continue to grow the number of ships our team will have sailed on as this has had one of the biggest impacts in rela- tion to our cruise market growth. The Irish Travel Industry Award is

such a significant one to have won for Atlantic Travel. It is recognition for the consistent dedication and willingness to adapt and change to fulfill the demands of our clients. Going the extra mile and above and beyond are terms often used but are the most apt in the description of each and every member in Atlantic Travel. We are very proud to be recipi- ents of this award and look forward to continuing to do what we do and do it well.

AGENCY >10 TOUR AMERICA

Mary says; “Tour America will be 25 years old in October 2020. Whilst its journey has not always been plain sailing, the past four years have shown year on year growth and increased profits. 2019 was an amaz- ing year for Tour America, and Cruise Holidays, being it’s most profitable and having the highest turnover to date. Tour America recently received the Travel Agent of the Year award from the ITAA, which means so much to me personally and indeed to our fan- tastic team.

I have consistently asked

my team to grow individually, and as a business to raise our standards. We are all clear on the vision of the company, and the importance of our journey of providing outstanding customer service. I am extremely proud about the recent promotion of our financial controller, Deirdre Maher, to COO (Chief Oper- ations Officer) of the company. Deirdre

will run the day to day operations of the organisation, which will allow me the necessary time to work on new projects for the brand and also to develop the fu- ture strategy for the business. The travel industry is consistently going through huge changes and chal- lenges, and Tour America, and Cruise Holidays, want to be a company that is resilient and adapt to all these changes fast. Winning Travel Agent of the Year, shows our commitment to excellence and never standing still, not being com- placent, and to ensure we continue our journey on providing customer service along with being profitable.
