FOR the first time in three issues, I am writing this from my office once again rather than my small (but gorgeously decorated) flat.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has announced that pubs and restaurants will be able to open (albeit with a strictly limited service) next month, along with places of worship (allowing weddings with attendees of up to 30) and even hairdressers.

Yet even as we take the first tentative step back towards normality – or what- ever will pass for our new normal – I can’t help thinking of industries which have been hit far worse by the lockdown than our own.

The exhibitions industry, for example, so important for keeping our sector running, has obviously been totally hamstrung. Alan Jenkins from exhibition company Quandrant2design gives us an insider's view on pages 24-25.

VIEWPOINT by Richard Hollis, Editor

Meanwhile, we also take a look at some of the DIY work people have been up to under lockdown. Turn to pages 14-15 for some com- mon DIY FAQs, while on pages 22-23 you will find Draper Tools’ list of the UK's best - and worst - garden trends.

As ever, please enjoy the magazine and don’t forget to follow us on social media – we always love hearing from you.
