At the forefront of helmet design and now homologated to the more stringent Snell SA2015 & FIA 8859-2015 safety standards. Following on from the success of the original Piuma helmet, the DES version has a number of upgrades making it much improved. The new Piuma weighs between 1190g and 1230g across the range. The helmet features a very strong carbon fibre/kevlar composite shell, with integral WRC intercom, headset, noise reducing ear cups, jack plug socket and adjustable microphone. POSTS Snell Approved 02. Stilo WRC DES 8860 Rally


Manufactured from moulded, autoclaved, carbon fibre and unlike the other helmets in the Stilo range, the 8860 versions are manufactured completely from carbon fibre for higher strength, yet lesser weight. This helmet is fitted with Stilo's WRC intercom system, with noise attenuating earmuffs with speakers, a magnetic-dynamic noise cancelling microphone and a fully integrated intercom plug. The helmet is produced in two shell sizes, the smaller one for the x-small, small and medium sizes and a larger shell for the large and x-large models. Featuring Stilo's Kevlar/MSF (Multi Sandwich Fibre) composite shell and the latest Snell SA2015 Approval. Fitted with renowned earphone electronics in the padded earmuffs and microphone in the helmet extension and the female comms port moved forward to allow easy easier access for connecting the intercom and further away from the FHR/HANS posts. The helmet also has a neutral black lining and is the only helmet with EPS cheek pads offering better cheek protection than other helmets. The latest helmet weighs in at 1400g for the small shell and 1440g for the large shell, which is utilised for the Large, X-Large and XX-Large sized helmets.
