From Bergerac, a family run estate (mainly by the two younger brothers) with new ideas, are producing some great organic wines. Their Semillon isis outstanding and only made in small volume, with rich, creamy soft melon and pear flavours, with a limey backbone. Improves with age.

IGP Terra de Chieti ‘Pecorino’ Elementa – Orsogna Winery 2018 13% ITALY
Certified biodynamic by Demeter. Central Italian, the Pecorino grape is coming back into fashion. Here it produces a straw coloured wine with big stature, aromas of broom and orange and succulent peachy flavours. Matches white meat and risottos very well.

Fresh and slightly saline, like a blast of sea spray. Biodynamic Cortese grapes, destemmed and delicately pressed with natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Low sulphur and delicate handling, helps retain all the fruit flavour and minerality in this delicious, food friendly, dry white wine.

IGP Bouches du Rhône Rosé – Domaine de Costebonne 2018 12.5% FRANCE
Extend the mood of Summer with this skilfully blended rosé made from Grenache and Caladoc. Southern French but not quite in Provence, a very similar style, at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended all year round!
