In 1983, Kar Porselen was founded in a tiny ceramic atelier with great dreams to try new things, create innovative products with successful techniques and bring a different perspective to the conventional understanding of household ceramic products.
Chef-figured spoon holders and basket-weave presentation bowls were the finest examples of this new approach and were in every Turkish household in the 1980s.
While the conventional round dining plates were leaving the spotlight for Turkey’s first square-shaped plates manufactured by Kar Porselen, the tiny atelier kept growing day by day.
