Equiery contributing photographer Wil- liam “Rex” Reed died on February 10. Reed and his wife Denise lived at their Amber- lea Farm in North Potomac along with their children Liam and Clare and a vari- ety of horses and live- stock. Reed was heav- ily involved with 4-H through his children’s projects. He was a member and supporter of Potomac Hunt Club, hosting an annual tailgate party right at the finish line at the Potomac Hunt Races each year. Reed was a steadfast figure at the Washington International Horse Show every year, being the main photographer for the sponsor and VIP dinning areas.


ON THE MEND A speedy recovery to Jo-Ann Schaudies of Surmont Farm, who had carpal tunnel surgery last month and Paislee Offutt, daughter of harness racer Chris Offutt and Melyssa Bauguess, who is currently in ICU due to a sudden illness causing paralysis.
