NATIONAL & MISC AWARD WINNERS


Darrell Ireland of Sunderland showed the Amer- ican Quarter Horse filly Maybelleen to win the American Quarter Horse Association Select World Championship Weanling Filly title. May- beleen is owned by Anthony Bladen, also of Sun- derland. Te filly also won the AQHA Amateur Reserve World Championship and the AQHA Reserve World Champion Filly title.

Since 1968 Lynda Arnold has been involved with horses in a variety of ways from horse showing to trail riding. From 2008 to 2013 she was the Horse Show Manager for the Carroll County Western Circuit, which holds its shows at the Carroll County Equestrian Center. She has been a member of the Carroll County Equestrian Council since 2008 and has been the Equestrian Center Manager since 2015. For all of her valu- able contributions of her time, skills and talents, the Carroll County Equestrian Council named Arnold the 2020 Volunteer of the Year.


Jaclyn Burke rode the six year old OTTB Chance of Liftoff to win the Combo division of the Maryland Toroughbred Eventing Pro- gram. Te Combo division takes scores from both Recognized and Unrecognized events in the series. Tis past season, they competed at Beginner Novice. Chance of Liftoff (JC name: Honeyfields) raced 16 times before being re- tired. Burke purchased him a few weeks after his last race in 2018.


Kudos to Katherine Bounds who earned her USDF Bronze Medal in 2020 with scores from riding her own Unlimited.


Owned by Teresa Grogan and ridden by trainer Christine Betz, Crescendos Allegra was the top USDF All Breeds Half Arabian in the Open Prix St. Georges and Open Intermediate I division. Te mare also earend championship honors in the USEF Region 15 Half Arabian and Half/Anglo Arabian Dressage FEI Com- bined Level. In addition, she was the 2020 East Coast PSG Champion, I-1 Open Champion and High Score FEI Horse winner.


Natalie Garner’s Guaranteed Good Asset was the WDAA National Reserve Champion Basic 2 horse. Tey also earned sixth place in Basic Horsemanship at the WDAA World Show.

Negro (pictured), owned by Van Olst Horses and standing at Hilltop Farm in Colora finished the 2020 season as the USEF Dressage Sire of the Year Reserve Champion. Contucci and Royal Prince, both owned by Hilltop Farm were ranked ninth and 13th respectively.
