How will it work in my classroom?


For our Enjoy Guided Reading range, we have selected ‘real’ books for each stage of progression or year group, and supplied a useful guide to match text levels with reading ability. For schools specifically using book bands, all KS1 resources are book banded (Blue to Lime) along with our popular Guided Reading: KS2 Book Bands range (Brown to Black).


We have carefully assigned one of the following categories to each book to enable you to quickly and easily match the book to your pupils’ reading ability.


Accessible — A book for readers reading below the average level of their year group Expected — A book for readers reading at an average level for their year group Confident — A book for readers reading above the average level for their year group Super-confident — A book to extend confident readers further
