SYRIA
The war in Syria is far from over, but 2016 saw an end to a four-year struggle for the city of Aleppo. Last year, we assisted 92,000 internally displaced Syrians with shelter interventions.

We built 11 camps in northern Iraq to shelter up to 120,000 people from Mosul and the surrounding area. Your support also provides life-saving emergency relief packages to help families still in the battle-scarred city.

NIGER
Boko Haram drove about 100,000 people from their homes in early 2016—including local villagers, people already displaced from other parts of the country and Nigerian refugees. Your support meant we were able to respond quickly to their urgent needs.
SOUTH SUDAN
About 640,000 South Sudanese have fled to Uganda to escape the brutal violence of the country’s civil war. Thanks to your generosity, we’re giving these refugees—many of whom are children—food, water, shelter and protection.
