Future Resident Program DESCRIPTION


GENERAL WAITING LIST


Applicants(s) who are financially approved but are undecided about the timing of a future move to Landis Homes will be placed on the General Waiting List.


PRIORITY PROGRAM Applicant(s) who are ready to move become “active” after taking the steps listed below to join the Priority Program.  Complete a Priority Program Agreement and return it to the Residency Planning office along with a $1,000 refundable deposit. The check should be payable to Landis Homes and mailed to the attention of Residency Planning (as noted on page 9).


 If it has been over a year since your financial information was submitted, an updated Financial Statement form should be returned along with the priority agreement and deposit. Priority Agreement and Financial Statement form are available upon request.


PRIORITY PROGRAM PROCESS


The original application date determines the position on the Priority List(s). It is possible to be placed on up to three different accommodation lists. Individuals with earlier application dates can move ahead of those on the list who have later application dates.


Applicant(s) can join the Priority Program at any time; however, priority numbers for the individual lists are assigned quarterly, at the beginning of January, April, July, and October. Those who join in the middle of the quarter will be placed at the bottom of the list until the priority numbers are reassigned at the beginning of the next quarter.


Availability of an apartment, cottage or hybrid home is very unpredictable, and we cannot tell Applicant(s) when they will be offered an accommodation. If Applicant(s) have particular preferences, that information should be stated on the Priority Agreement. We will make offers based on those preferences.


If Applicant(s) declines three offers, we will refund the deposit and transfer them from the Priority Program to the General Waiting List. They will have the opportunity to rejoin the Priority Program after six months, at which time they will need to repeat the steps required to be a member of the Priority Program.
