Each year, I am happy to share the Community Impact and Annual Report issue of FLOURISH.

S

ince the beginning of Landis Homes nearly 60 years ago and the creation of Landis Communities in 2011, we have been committed to being good stewards of our resources as well as

seeking creative ways to serve more people through new initiatives and strategic community partnerships.

We remain focused on:  Keeping Landis Homes strong and vital  Providing more services in the home

 Developing more affordable living options for middle-and-lower income individuals.

Our mission also includes deepening our belonging efforts throughout Landis Communities. Compassion, one of our guiding values, is described as “Demonstrating Christ-like love and concern in our relationships, serving one another with grace, humility, gentleness and sensitivity in a manner which respects diversity and honors the dignity and worth of everyone.”

Te goal of the newly formed Landis Communities Belonging Council is to strive daily to strengthen our culture of service to God and service to each other by building into our existing culture the internal structures and policies that will enable each resident, client and team member to feel welcome and have a sense of belonging.

Christ-like love compels us to love our neighbor and to care about the well-being of all. Tis belief is reflected in the stories you are about to read. You will meet Debra, who shares her smile with others at Landis Adult Day Services; Dr. Mo and his family who found a way to share his passion through a special gift to Landis Homes; Olivia and Bella, two sisters who are deepening their connection through their work at Landis at Home; and Sea, who has found a new community through the Lancaster Downtowners Solo Aging program.

It is a joy to share these stories that reflect the mission and values of Landis Communities. Tank you for joining us as we follow God’s call to serve aging adults and their families throughout Lancaster County and beyond.

With gratitude, Cultivating Life, Together

Christ-like

love compels us to love our neighbor and to care about the well-being of all. This belief is reflected in the stories you are about to read.

Larry Zook President/CEO, Landis Communities
