How are the bootcamps being received?
The first bootcamp was delivered in Liverpool in October 2023. Since then, Simon and David have trained over 105 learners.
92 of these learners have gone on to secure new jobs in the drainage industry and 91% of those have achieved sustained employment. The feedback from employers has been great.
Michael Hearty (Head of Operations at Auger) said - 'We are looking for new starters to join our academy that have already shown a level of commitment and have the basic skills. The Bootcamps are ideal for this', ' I would 100% recommend this scheme to other employers'
The Sysco team are working closely with Dave and Simon who have an extensive network of employers they work with. Some of the employers from small to large already reaping the benefits of the scheme are Auger, Innovation Group, Lanes Group, NRC, Ipsum, Dyno Rod, Metro Rod, Wessex Water, Rescue Rod, Clearview, HDD Utilities, Quest, and FM Conway.

By equipping participants with the skills needed, we are not only helping them achieve their career goals but also contributing to the economic resilience of our communities.
Where are the upcoming bootcamps being held?
There are several bootcamps already scheduled, but it is possible to provide training anywhere in England (note Not Scotland, Wales or N Ireland). If you have specific requirements, they may be able to be accommodated.
