The Hotel Pashmina in Val Thorens was created by the Gorini family as a luxurious mountain retreat, designed to combine alpine elegance with the warmth and comfort of a private chalet. Soft textures, natural materials and rich colours create an inviting atmosphere throughout, giving the hotel a sense of intimacy despite its dramatic high- altitude setting. The rooms and suites, ranging from 36 to 160
square metres, offer sweeping views across the surrounding peaks and reflect the family’s values of authenticity, hospitality and a deep connection to the mountains. Throughout the hotel, the decor takes inspiration from travel and exploration, blending contemporary alpine style with objects collected from around the world. Designed with families and groups in mind,
the spacious Cosy Home suites are available with one to four bedrooms and feature open-plan kitchens and generous communal living areas. They are intended to feel less like traditional hotel accommodation and more like a private mountain residence. For guests looking for something
more unusual, the hotel also offers the Igloo-Pod: a geodesic dome inspired by polar expedition shelters, positioned above the hotel to allow uninterrupted views of the night sky. Complete with a private hot tub, it offers a memorable way to experience the mountains in complete seclusion. Wellness is central to the Pashmina experience.
The Aqua Pashmina spa includes a swimming pool with panoramic mountain views, as well as indoor and outdoor whirlpool baths, a Nordic bath, an old- wood sauna, steam room and sensory showers. The space is designed as a calm retreat after a day on the slopes, combining contemporary facilities with a relaxed alpine atmosphere. Dining follows the Gorini family’s philosophy
of being both refined and approachable. The Michelin-starred restaurant, Les Explorateurs, serves mountain-inspired cuisine influenced by traditions from around the world, while still celebrating regional ingredients. Elsewhere, the Winter Garden — a heated glass verandah — allows guests to enjoy lunch or dinner in complete comfort regardless of the weather.
