A Day to Remember

Special group discounts are available on a range of Arboretum daily activities and events.

Much has changed at the National Memorial Arboretum since planting began over 20 years ago. From a field full of whip trees, a magnificent living tribute has grown.

The 150-acre site presents a rich tapestry of human stories with tales of heroism, tenacity and valour waiting to be discovered. Rich in design and symbolism, and sympathetic to the lush gardens they inhabit, the memorials stimulate thought and inspire groups of all ages and interests.

For many, a visit stems from the need for pilgrimage to honour those who have given so much, for others it’s the historical and cultural experience and the chance to learn, and for many more, it’s simply the opportunity to experience art in a beautiful wooded landscape featuring a rich variety of flora and fauna. Whatever the motivation, groups return time and time again.
