These two itineraries show how Adelaide and Kangaroo Island can fit in to a wider Australia holiday for clients looking for an experiential luxury trip


WINE & WILDLIFE


Adelaide – Adelaide Hills – Kangaroo Island – Sydney


Days 1 & 2 Arrive off the Qantas non-stop flight from London to Perth and connect seamlessly to the vineyard city of Adelaide. Live like a local by laneway-dining, beach-walking and small bar-hopping. Visit the iconic Penfolds Magill Estate winery in the city for a long lunch.


Days 3 & 4 Take a 20-minute taxi ride to the Adelaide Hills, staying at Mount Lofty House. Book a wine tour to explore some of the region’s best cellar doors. Alternatively, opt for a two-day Barossa trip, staying at The Louise.


Days 5 to 8


Fly Qantas to Kangaroo Island and spend four days in paradise, wildlife touring and relaxing in a luxury lodge or private house.


Days 9 to 13


Fly on to Sydney with Qantas and spend five nights exploring the harbour city and nearby Hunter Valley wine region.


Day 14


Fly home from Sydney with Qantas via Perth or Singapore.

ISLANDS & OUTBACK


Adelaide – Kangaroo Island – Clare Valley – Flinders Ranges – Great Barrier Reef Days 1 & 2


Arrive in Adelaide and spend time exploring the Central Market, iconic Adelaide Oval and the city’s museums and galleries.


Days 3 to 6


Fly Qantas to Kangaroo Island for a big hit of Aussie wildlife in the wild.


Days 7-10


Fly back to Adelaide, pick up a hire car and drive north through the wineries of the Clare Valley to the stunning Flinders Ranges, which is steeped in Aboriginal history. This five-hour drive from the beaches of Adelaide to the outback is best broken up with a night in the Clare, followed by three nights at Arkaba Conservancy, a 60,000-acre former sheep station which boasts incredible wildlife and is in the Luxury Lodges of Australia portfolio.
